Utah Learner's PermitIn Utah, you must be at least 15 years old to receive your learners permit. Your learner's license is considered Stage 1 of the Utah Graduated License Law and requires a minimum of 40 hours of supervised behind-the-wheel driving practice (10 of which must be at night). Utah GDL LawsUtah's graduated driver license program is a three-phase program that gradually introduces drivers under the age of 18 into driving situations that are progressively harder than that of the last phase.
